Welcome BBQ & Meet The Headteacher

Come along to join our afternoon of fun, food and meeting other families. A great opportunity to get to know some of the other parents at Parklands Primary School, our welcome BBQ is open to everyone at the school. As always, bookings are through our PTA events website. (We strongly recommend you sign up as all of our events are booked through here.

Dare to be Different Day
Friday 6th Oct
​
A non-uniform day for the children, where they get to chose from a list of 'Dares' like odd socks, their own clothes etc... in exchange for donations to the PTA. 50p per dare!
Movie Night
Tuesday 17th Oct (Collection 5pm)
​
Children enjoy a film and snacks after school until 5pm. Tickets are £3 (which includes a fruit shoot and mini cheddars) and, once open, can be booked through our PTA events website. Please be aware there are limited spaces for each film choice and once bookings are closed, to make sure all of our registers are correct for our children's safety, we cannot change tickets, swap with others or add extra children onto the list.

There is also a tuck trolley that goes around the films with 50p items for children to purchase with their own money on the afternoon.

Christmas Cards
Oct/Nov
​
Children will design their own Christmas cards which can be purchased (along with a range of other items) in the lead up to Christmas.

Sparklands Bingo (KS2)
Monday 6th Nov (Collection 5pm)
​
For KS2 only, our firework themed bingo night is great fun for our older children. Tickets are £3.50 and include a fruit shoot and mini cheddars. They can be booked through our PTA events website. Please be aware there are limited spaces for this event.
There is also a tuck shop with 50p items for children on the afternoon.

Non-Uniform Day
Friday 24th Nov

Children can come in non-uniform in exchange for donations of cups full of bric-a-brac (cups will be provided) ready for the Christmas Fair.

Children can come in non-uniform in exchange for donations of a bottle or chocolates ready for the Christmas Fair tombolas.

Winter Fair
Friday 1st Dec (4.30-7pm)
​
Our Winter Fair will have a full range of fun activities, food and stalls to get you and your family in the festive spirit! Volunteers will be needed and very welcome for this event. We ask that families consider if they could give an hour at the fair (4-5pm, including a little setup, 5-6 or 6-7pm) to help on a stall.

Elves Workshop
Monday 11th Dec
​
Running during the school day, children come to our Elves workshop and chose presents for their parents, grandparents, siblings, cats or dogs and then write the gift tag to stick on it. Booking is essential through our PTA events website and, as with all our events, we will not be able to add additional items on after the cut off date.
Presents are £2.50 each and can be purchased for Adult Male, Adult Female, Child, Cat or Dog.

Could you do one thing?
​
For this event we need:
​
- People to wrap the gifts which we will provide at home.
- On the day, a team of volunteers to help run the workshop and take children back and forwards to classrooms.
- A team of people to decorate the space the Sunday before from 1-4pm.
